About Me

My photo
B.E. Kerian
Film has been a lifelong passion of mine since childhood. I believe it's one of our greatest forms of communication and expression, and that it has the ability to inspire and challenge across cultures, genders, and countries. Personally, film has helped me understand the world and life in general. At the same time, writing has helped me examine and process film -- and not just with popcorn or Peanut M&M's. That's where this verse (and therefore, discernment) comes in: "Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial . . . or constructive" (1 Cor. 6:12; 10:23). My goal with this blog is to create an environment attentive to the thematic and artistic undertones of various or select titles, and therefore challenge and encourage readers to do more than just merely watch a movie. Call me a "film freeQ" (er, freak) if you must, but I guarantee I'm not the only one.
